What we collect

Stories from Backyard is a small storytelling site. We do not run user accounts or personalised tracking. We collect the minimum needed to operate the site and the newsletter.

• Server logs (IP address, user agent, page requested) for security and analytics.
• Newsletter email address, only if you choose to subscribe.
• Messages you send through the contact form.

Cookies

The site itself sets no marketing cookies. Embedded YouTube videos use the privacy-conscious youtube-nocookie.com domain. YouTube may still set cookies after you press play. See YouTube's privacy policy for details.

Newsletter

The Backyard Letter is sent via a third-party email provider. Your email address is stored only for sending the letter. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every issue.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of any data we hold on you, or ask us to delete it, by writing to hello@storiesfrombackyard.com.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes will be announced in the next issue of the newsletter.
